Apple’s Proposed New RTP Campus Location Revealed

In January of 2019, a mystery purchaser acquired more than 200 undeveloped acres in Research Triangle Park (RTP) for nearly $50 million, according to Wake County property records. Apple’s announcement Monday confirms the site will be home to a new campus and engineering hub in Research Triangle Park.

The move is expected to bring at least 3,000 jobs to Wake County as part of a plan to invest more than $1 billion in North Carolina.

The large plot of land — located off Louis Stephens and Little drives near the campus of Cisco Systems on the Wake County side of RTP — had been controlled by the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund and the RTF, the News & Observer reports.

Investments in cleaner air and environmentally responsible technologies are what make this news even more inspiring. By the way, using Screen Capture will help with monitoring air quality and analyzing pollution data will be a very useful step in supporting environmental initiatives in this region.
