OWNER'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT REGARDING THE CUSTOM HOME PROGRAM
The Governors Club Custom Home Program (CHP) was established in March 1992, to provide property owners with a team of experienced professionals to select from when designing and building their home here in Governors Club. Our member team includes architects, builders, landscape architects, and interior designers. Three of the four professions represented are required by the Property Owners Association's (POA) Architectural Review Board for plan submission and approval.
The CHP and its members work conscientiously to keep the spirit, look and feel of Governors Club in mind. Much more than a marketing or "matchmaking" service, the Program offers both its customers and members a forum of topnotch professionals with whom to work. Our members receive ongoing training through CHP sponsored meetings, enjoy true teamwork, and share a dedication that helps to keep this place so special. This, combined with the unparalleled experience of its members, causes the Program's customers to be the ultimate beneficiaries.
Constructing a new home is an opportunity of a lifetime and is an exciting and rewarding experience. It is our goal to support you and your design-build team to ensure your building success.
To that end, members of the CHP are experienced in, and understand the idiosyncrasies of, building and designing in Governors Club. Many of our Members work exclusively in Governors Club and the group has built the vast majority of homes here.
The CHP offers a comprehensive program to our Members. We provide educational meetings, team building events and continuing education credits for designers. Not only do we provide this for our Members to enhance your experience, we monitor our members by surveying homeowners after completion. Results are what matter and the CHP has established a ten year track record of building dreams. In fact, in 2002, CHP Members received a 92% Satisfaction Rating from property owners surveyed after move in. Using these survey results, the CHP annually awards exemplary performance by Members for their dedication and hard work.
The CHP fulfills its role by charging the builder a marketing fee, based on the construction contract price, to market their services. This fee is paid by the builder and compares very favorably to the 5-6% other area communities charge their builder groups.
In an effort to enhance the options available to Governors Club property owners, the Custom Home Program (CHP) has been formed to act as a conduit between property owners and a group of experienced architects, builders, landscape architects, and interior designers. Most CHP members have built multiple homes in Governors Club. Information regarding these professionals has been made available to the undersigned Owners and they hereby acknowledge the following:

The promotional information concerning individual members of the Custom Home Program is prepared and provided by the members themselves and is not independently verified by Governors Club Realty, nor its employees, agents or administrators of the Custom Home Program.

Although these professionals are part of the Custom Home Program, they act independent of Governors Club Realty (GCR) and are governed by the rules of their respected professional organizations.

Governors Club Realty, and its employees, agents and administrators of the Custom Home Program, do not guarantee or warrant the qualifications, ability, financial stability, fitness, workmanship, or performance of any member of the Custom Home Program.

The selection of a home building team and entry into a contractual relationship with any member of the program is the sole responsibility of the undersigned Owners, and Governors Club Realty, shall incur no liability in regard to the selection of or contracts with CHP members, whether for negligence or upon any other legal theory.

The Custom Home Program is not a partnership, nor a joint venture. Each member of the CHP pays an established marketing fee to the administrator of the program to cover expenses incurred for program administration, advertising and continuing education..
